IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MALES 18 AND OVER

General Admission

  • Please fill out the online application as thoroughly as possible. When you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button on the left column of any application screen.

  • Submit an official high school transcript indicating graduation date or passing official GED scores. A high school transcript is not needed if you graduated from high school five years previous to WVU Parkersburg enrollment.

  • Submit official transcripts from each college or university previously attended. These transcripts must be sent directly from issuing institution to WVU Parkersburg Admission Office. Transcripts marked "issued to student" or submitted directly by students cannot be accepted.

  • Submit scores achieved on the SAT I or ACT. This requirement does not apply to applicants who graduated from high school more than five years previous to WVU Parkersburg enrollment unless ACT scores are required by a program.

  • Submit measles and rubella immunization records if a full-time student and if born after January 1, 1957.

  • Print and sign the application agreement statement that appears after you submit your application. Send the signed application agreement along with your high school transcript and immunization records to WVU Parkersburg Admission Office.

Transfer Admission

  • Please fill out the online application as thoroughly as possible. When you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button on the left column of any application screen.

  • Submit a request to the registrars of all institutions previously attended to forward official transcripts to the Admissions and Records Office of WVU Parkersburg. These transcripts must be sent directly from issuing institution to the WVU Parkersburg Admissions Office. Transcripts marked "issued to student" or submitted directly by students cannot be accepted. Only credits earned at regionally accredited institutions will be accepted for transfer.

  • Submit measles and rubella immunization records if a full-time student and if born after January 1, 1957.

  • Submit an official high school transcript indicating graduation date and SAT I or ACT scores if you have fewer than 30 hours of college credit, and graduated from high school less than five years previous to WVU Parkersburg enrollment.

  • Print and sign the application agreement statement that appears after you submit your application. Send the signed application agreement along with your high school transcript and immunization records to WVU Parkersburg Admission Office.
*If applying for Financial Aid WVU Parkersburg, you will need to request a financial aid transcript be sent from any previously attended colleges or universities.

Transient Admission

  • Please fill out the online application as thoroughly as possible. When you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button on the left column of any application screen.

  • Submit a transient approval form or letter of good standing from your current institution.

  • Print and sign the application agreement statement that appears after you submit your application. Send the signed application agreement along with the transient approval form or letter of good standing to WVU Parkersburg Admission Office.

Early Admission of High School Students

  • Please fill out the online application as thoroughly as possible. When you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button on the left column of any application screen.

  • Submit a written recommendation from either your high school principal or high school counselor.

  • Submit a partial, official high school transcript.

  • Print and sign the application agreement statement that appears after you submit your application. Send the signed application agreement along with the written recommendation from either your high school principal or high school counselor to WVU Parkersburg Admission Office.
*Early admission students are not eligible for financial aid.

How to Use the West Virginia University - Parkersburg Online Application

To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.
