Admission Policies
Mountain State University maintains an open-door admission policy. Applicants who are graduates of an accredited secondary high school or who have received a General Education Development (GED) certificate are eligible to apply.
Admission is also open to special students not seeking degrees and to high school students who have permission from their high school to take college courses before graduation.
Individuals may be eligible for credits upon admission by documenting their mastery of college-level subject matter through successful completion of Advanced Placement Examinations (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), Dantes, Institutional Challenge Exams, or assessment of prior learning.
Mountain State University reserves the right to evaluate special cases and consider applicants who do not meet the usual criteria for admissions but who, in the opinion of MSU, are able to benefit from instruction at MSU.
