Admission by Transfer
|
Mountain State University welcomes applications for admission from students who wish to transfer from other regionally accredited institutions of higher learning. Transfer students are to forward an application for admission and all previous college official transcripts to the MSU admissions office. Credit will only be accepted for courses completed with a grade of C or better. Transfer credits will be evaluated by the Student Services Office to determine which courses will transfer as equivalent MSU courses. Once this evaluation is complete the student should meet with his/her assigned advisor to determine how the transfer credits will apply toward his/her degree program.
Any transfer student on probation from another college or university will retain probationary status at Mountain State University until he/she meets MSU requirements under academic probation. Any student on suspension from another college or university will not be accepted at MSU until the period of suspension has been completed. However, students may, under extenuating circumstances, petition the dean of student services for special admission consideration.
